About the CentralApp apprenticeship
The CentralApp apprenticeship program was born out of the belief that talent, intellect, and drive are universally distributed --- but economic opportunity is not.
To tackle that problem, our apprenticeship program provides tech and entrepreneurship training in economically challenged communities throughout the Appalachian region.
Apprentices who successfully complete our program graduate as 3x-certified Salesforce developers --- and are invited to roll up their sleeves and get to work with us.
Who can apply?
Anyone age 16 years or older can apply. Check out the job description to see the type of person we're looking for.
When will your next classes begin?
Our next session of classes will likely begin in late summer of 2018. Details on times and locations will be provided closer to the start date.
If you're interested, go ahead and apply so your application is on file. We'll contact you with details as soon as we are ready to go!
Where will classes be held?
Classes will be held in Cabell, Fayette, Wayne and Wyoming counties in WV. We may add additional classes too, with the locations of those still to be determined.
What is the program like?
First off... it's tough. We will put you through a rigorous training program that will teach you the skills you need to launch a career working on the Salesforce platform.
The program takes about six months to complete. Participants should expect to dedicate about 40 hours per week toward training, which will be a mix of in-class training sessions and at-home work.
What is Salesforce?
Salesforce is a cloud technology platform that helps businesses manage their sales, marketing, service, finances, supply chain, work flow --- and more.
Within the next five years, the Salesforce economy is projected to support 3.3 million new jobs and $859 billion in new business revenue.
Clearly, skills in managing and developing the Salesforce platform are in high-demand.
What certifications will I earn?
Individuals who complete our program will be 3x Salesforce certified, earning the following certificates:
- Platform App Builder
- Platform Developer 1
Will CentralApp hire me if I complete the program?
Completing the CentralApp apprenticeship program is NOT a guarantee of employment. Individuals who complete the apprenticeship and who have demonstrated strong Salesforce and professional skills may be invited to participate in the CentralApp talent exchange, an invite-only network that connects qualified Salesforce professionals to clients in need of Salesforce services. Members of the talent exchange are not CentralApp employees. They work as 1099 self-employed contractors.
